Department of Languages

Established in the year 2012, The Department of Languages offers Malayalam and Arabic and helps the students to acquire proficiency in these languages. our Language Department focuses on developing patriotism, Constitutional values and a sense of National Integrity in students through Literature and equip them to obtain a job and serve the nation. The Department is strengthened with well-qualified and experienced faculty members to impart language and research skills to literary scholars. Experienced Faculties give students exposure to various cultures to live on solidarity and the components of integrated skills to get good interpersonal skills, which are essential to face contemporary society.

All the Undergraduate students can take Malayalam or Arabic as their Second Language. The library facility is available for all language students. Periodicals, Updated Textbooks etc are available in the reading room.

A WhatsApp group named RTI Act specifically for Arabic Department is very active among students to conduct legal awareness class and free legal help among students. The Arabic Department HOD is also an executive member of the National Right to Information Association. A National Seminar on Right to Information was conducted for legal awareness.

Important days like Kerala Piravi, Onam, Ramzan, Christmas, Gandhi Jayanti, National integration Day, Reading Day, National Official Language day, World Arabic Day, World Peace Day, Birthdays of Famous Personalities like Premchand, Basheer, Kabir Das etc are celebrated by the department.

From the period of its inception, the Department has blossomed into one of the motivating and enthusiastic departments in our college. Our Department acts as a communicating link between different core subjects and hence it serves as a stage for knowing one another and building unity.
